Research provides the tool for generating answers to questions that initiate the need for policy. MwAPATA Institute will carry out both issue-based, and demand driven research. The research theme has activities that will enable MwAPATA Institute to engage into advocacy, outreach and implement our primary activities
Research
A major component of our strategy is to build the analytical and communication skills of our young research staff, the stakeholders we work with, and our leadership. We believe we all have as much to gain as we have to share in a collaborative, multi-directional learning environment.
Capacity Building
MwAPATA will regularly convene multi-stakeholder groups in policy dialogue, engaging civil society, government ministries and agencies, farmers, fishers, and the private sector in order to leverage experiences and influence policy direction.
Outreach
The ultimate goal of MwAPATA is to accelerate the adoption of more effective Malawian-led policies and programs to drive broad-based agricultural sector growth, diversification and improvement of smallholder incomes and nutrition in Malawi.
